About Us

David C. Keith

CineByte Productions was founded in 2006 by David C. Keith.


CineByte was formed for the production of Crash Artist: Beyond the Red Carpet, a feature documentary about the life of a Hollywood party crasher.  Crash Artist was an Official Selection to several film festivals including the Burbank International Film Festival and the Paso Robles Digital Film Festival where it won the Jury Choice Award.


Apart from CineByte Productions, David has edited for charitable foundations, PBS, and Corporate Productions, Inc. where he cut his teeth as a staff editor and field producer for well over a decade.  David's work has been distributed theatrically, broadcast on television, and available on streaming sites.


David is a member of IATSE Local 700 Editor's Guild.


Above all else, David is a passionate story-teller who loves creating meaningful subject matter and collaborating with other talented artists.

The United States of Tomorrow

In a not-so-distant future, school shootings have become even more common in the United States and children prepare for school by wearing bulletproof vests as part of their normal school attire.

A poignant short film that addresses mass shootings in the not too distant future. An American family prepares for school, but their normal routine involves a morbid alteration in this alternate but very plausible universe.

The United States of Tomorrow

Kholi Styles, a young black teenager, is wrongfully accused of the murder of his white classmate from Winnetka. His father, Jackie Styles, is an up-and-coming lawyer who goes to court to fight for his son's innocence.


Screened at the American Black Film Festival on June 13th, 2018.

Released in theaters January 18th, 2019.
